This "Red Ball" kit car first appeared in the late 70s / early 80s. Red Ball kits feature unpainted metal castings and wood parts where appropriate. Couplers and trucks not included. I'm told that scratchbuilding one's own car would probably be a simpler proposition than trying to assemble one of these kits.
