As pictured above, these models are available with flush or overhanging roof. Also, with round or trough hatches.
Built by Pullman Standard starting in the late 1940s, PS-2 covered hoppers were used to transport granular bulk commodities, such as cement, soda ash, sand and grain. These particular models are based on a 2600 cf prototype built in the 1960s. Many of them remained in service through 2005.
